Solvent-based paints: Anti-skin

These are additives that retard the skin formation in the paint recipient. They are antioxidant and volatile, preventing skin formation and volatilizing when the paint is applied to the surface.

Products line:

SCINEX®

An "Anti-skin" additive of light color with characteristic odor, developed to solve the problem of surface film formation (skin) when the paint can is exposed to the air.

Indicated dosages:
0,2 % for paints based on drying oils;
0,4 % for varnishes and paints based on synthetic and long alkyd resins;
0,6 % for those formulated with polymerized alkyd resins;

This calculation should be based on the total solids content.
